New York is a bustling state in the US and one of the busiest places in the world. Despite being renowned for being one of the top urban locations in the world, New York also has amazing fall foliage.

In the Lake George area, the mountains like Adirondack are like heaven for hikers. Various Lake George hiking trails have spectacular views and make for a great weekend escape.
Lake Placid in New York has previously held the Winter Olympic Games but during the summer, this attractive alpine village situated in Adirondack Park is a delightful getaway. Lake Placid hiking is some of the best in the east coast, you won't want to miss out.

It may not seem like Spring yet in Boston, but at least the snow is melting! True spring is just around the corner, which means mountains all over New England will be a lot more accessible for those who haven't invested in winter hiking gear.
